I started an 8 week running training program for beginners this week. I found it online at Weight Loss Resources. It's a UK website, but I think the program is gradual and healthy.
I had to walk this week - that's it! I even walked on my days off, but I am sure that is ok. I feel my body reacting to the extra exercise already. I am not complaining - I LOVE IT!! Walking is so easy too, why have I not been doing this all along? I mean, I go on walks all the time. Almost every day in fact, so why has getting in shape been so difficult? I think it's because I didn't take advantage of the time I had at school. Now, I am looking for that 10 or 15 minutes at recess when I can walk with the kids. I used to patrol the playground, always moving, but I didn't walk with a purpose. Now I do!
Next week I will briskly walk when it's time for my exercise. I am already looking forward to it and getting outside more with Adelle!!
Here was my regimen for Week 1!
Monday - Brisk Walk for 10 minutes
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Brisk Walk for 15 minutes
Thursday - Rest
Friday - Brisk Walk for 20 minutes
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Rest

Ready to Run
As a part of my losing weight goal on my little bucket list, I have decided to start running. I know what you're saying, Teresa doesn't like to run. You're right, I don't. But I have to do SOMETHING and I can do this with the stroller I have right now or on my own.
So I looked online for training programs and found one I think will work. It starts off with some walking, then goes to walking and jogging, then mixes in some running for a couple of weeks, then I'm running all week.
My goal is to be able to run in the State Fair Milk Run at the end of the summer. Whether or not I will be able to run in the actual Milk Run (the event itself) is not really the point, but I do want to be able to run it by the end of the summer.
Wish me luck!

Out With the Old
Every so often I get a bug. A cleaning bug. An organizing bug. A blogging bug. Then there are times when I fall in love with something and want it now. A new thing bug.
Well, I have had my eye open for an entertainment center and I finally found one that I really like. It's from Ikea, but it's all wood, not laminate. I like the dark color because I think it will look really fantastic in our house. Brian isn't sure about it though. He thinks we should stick to natural colors because the cabinets in our kitchen are lighter as are the baseboards and railing. I am not an interior designer, but I think the dark will work nicely with the dark frames we have in the house.
The entertainment center I want is essentially two bookshelves, an actual entertainment center (tv stand), and then what Ikea calls a bridge to connect the two bookshelves at the top. In order to accommodate this new furniture, we are trying to sell our old furniture. We have it listed on Craigslist, but if you want it, or know of someone who would want our hand-me-downs, let us know! They are in great condition, look great, and hold a lot of stuff!!
FURNITURE FOR SALE!! FURNITURE FOR SALE!!
I will post pictures of the old furniture when I get home today! Here are the new pieces I want, but I want the set up of the white set with the color of the dark set.

Grey's Anatomy
I love the show!
It's really the only show I try to schedule things around and watch. I even turn off my phone! Last night they did a musical episode and it was incredible!! I don't think I'd enjoy musical episodes all the time, but we've gotten to glimpse into the near-death world of Izzy, George, and of course Meridith so why not Callie? I thought the musical choices were perfect and the way it all came together was powerful. I think I cried through most of it!
The cast members got to sing songs, or parts of songs and I was blown away by Sara Ramirez!! I know she is a Tony Award winner, but holy cats she can sing! In fact, I need to find music of hers on iTunes immediately! And I had NO idea that Kevin McKidd (Owen) could sing. His voice and Eric Dane's voices were very comforting and emotional at the same time.
WOW - What an interesting way to tell the story Shonda Rhimes!! It was awesome!!
Go here to watch the musical episode, Song Beneath the Song. Tell me what you think!

NOOKColor
I love gadgets! Love them!! We just don't have the funds to buy all the gadgets we want, so we do research. I've been looking at eReaders for a while and have talked with many friends about the pros and cons to the Kindle and the NOOK (original and color). Most people like the NOOKColor a lot more than the other options.
Well, my concern is that there are too many books I would need to purchase rather than borrow or download for free. This would defeat the purpose though because I could just go to the library! However, the only thing I don't like about the library is that I don't have many opportunities to read while Addie is around. We play too much and when she is sleeping, I am cleaning or straightening up or playing on blogger :) So I end up renewing it once or twice in order to finish it. It isn't that big of a deal, but I hate have to have something read by a certain date. That is exactly why I didn't like reading when I was in school!
What are your thoughts?

Ear Infection :(
Adelle wasn't feeling well on Tuesday when Brian picked her up from daycare. They went to see Nana and Papa but Adelle just wasn't herself. During the night, she was coughing, crying, and generally miserable unless we were holding her. She even spiked a fever of 102! We thought she was just teething because she was gnawing at her thumb and fingers, didn't want to eat anything too hard and producing a TON of saliva!! Well, when she decided not to sleep on Wednesday night, we took her to the doctor. He looked in her ears and said she had an ear infection in one and would probably get one in the other.
My poor baby girl!!
We got her the amoxicillin, bubble gum flavored of course, and she ate it like a champ. Within about 30 minutes she was down for the night. She fussed a few times, but she was actually sleeping! Friday morning, before I went to work, I was giving her the amoxicillin again and when we finished, she made the sign for 'more'! ADORABLE!! I told her that she could have more of it that evening, but not right now. She let her hands fall to her sides, started talking and walked away.
She did so well on Friday with Brian that we decided to keep our plans this weekend. Nana and Papa took her last night and will have her until Sunday. This will give Brian and I a chance to clean the house and get some sleep! I am sure we will be able to fit in a date or movie though ;)
I hope this is the last ear infection Adelle gets. It's really tough to stay sane through it because I couldn't take her pain away and she wasn't able to tell me what was wrong. I know that she will probably get another one, or two, or three, but I hope at those times she will be able to tell me about it!!
Get better soon Sweet Girl!

New Phone
So I got a new phone the other day because I hated my other one and T-Mobile said I could trade it in. I got an amazing new phone that I absolutely LOVE!! I got an LG OptimusT, which means we had to get a data plan too. I really like all of the features, I just wish I was able to download stuff with a gift card (with mac stuff you can just get an iTunes gift card so you don't have to put in your CC information).

It's awesome, I got the wine color and it has a cute little ring. No one really calls me so I don't hear it that often, but it's cute anyway. AND I can take a ton a pictures and videos with it! AND it can upload pictures of Facebook, Blogger, Picasa. AND I can view all of the pictures from the blog and my Picasa account on my phone! How cool is that?!
