Pumpkin Patch: Day 2

Here are the pictures from when I went, during the day, with Maria. I was off because of our state teacher meetings and I took advantage of it! We ended up taking pictures in the patch with all of the rotting pumpkins. It didn't smell so much and the corn in the background looked great too. It helped that we had gotten some rain :)

Anyway, here are the pictures Maria was able to snap while I was trying to hold her attention. I didn't do a great job! We stopped at a little apple tree first.

Then we moved onto the actual pumpkin patch.

And here are a few from a DIFFERENT apple tree.

Pumpkin Patch: Day 1

So Brian and I wanted to get pumpkins this year. We wanted to take Adelle and get some pictures of her in the patch too, but it was CRAZY busy and the patch smelled like rotting pumpkins. In order to get to pumpkins not turning into compost, we had to walk through two patches! Needless to say, it was exhausting, chilly, and the pumpkins we found were perfect!

Here are the pictures from our trip. The last one is a close up of Adelle in the stroller!

Fun With Auntie Maria

Here are some pictures of Adelle and Maria.

Teething Biscuits

Adelle had her first teething biscuit today. At first, she didn't really know what to think. She kind of bit into it and made an icky face. Then she tried it again. She pulled it out, looked at it, then went to town!! She was eating it so fast, we had to keep pulling it out of her mouth because she was trying to eat the whole thing at once!

Teething biscuits are awesome!!

My Crazy Haired Little Girl

Adelle's hair has been growing so long under her helmet!! It's really strange to take it off in the morning and see how much it has grown. It sticks out of the front, almost covering her eyes, and it sticks out the ear holes and curls up.

She is super adorable.

Anyway, I wanted to get a few pictures of her hair and of her without her helmet. Enjoy! BTW - some of them are blurry.

Wake Up and Chew!

I would have never thought that this was going to happen. I mean, I have seen the warning signs and I have seen the products on the market for items to protect from this. But I never thought Adelle would do it.

Boy was I wrong.

A week or two ago, I went into Adelle's room to start getting her ready for the day. I usually talk with her a little while she is still in her crib, then take her out to choose an outfit. Well, I was talking with her and noticed little black specks on her cheek. I had no idea what they were, or where they even came from so I made a note of it and went about my day. A few days later, I saw them again.

What?! Where are these coming from?! What are they?!

Well, I was pondering the above questions when I put my hand on the top rail of her crib. The stinker has been CHEWING on the top rail of her crib!! How did I NOT see this?! Anyway, these are the adorable pictures I took of our said Stinker!

If you look closely, you can see her little bite marks.

9 Months Old

Adelle is a growing little girl. She loves to crawl around, stand next to furniture (or our legs) while pointing to things around the room, babble, scream, giggle, and read books. She also likes to listen to songs being sung to her... sometimes she'll join in! Her favorite foods are fruits: prunes, bananas, apples, and the custard blend by Gerber. She likes her veggies too: squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, and any other kind of veggie that is around. She really enjoys eating them. Brian has even given her a little garlic in her food (the veggies, not the fruits) and she devours it! Thus far the meats have been getting the funny faces. She'll eat them all, but they get the faces throughout the meal. It's actually cute!

We took her to the doctor for her 9 month check up last week. She got her first flu shot and didn't really like it, though once we picked her up she was fine. We think she doesn't really mind the shot part, we think it's the holding down part she doesn't like. Anyway, she is 29 1/4" tall - that is 2 and a half feet people! - and weighs 17lbs 9oz.

Today we went to Adelle's helmet doctor, Dr. Mary. She asked how things were going then measured her head. Adelle needed the helmet because the measurements from the diagonals had an 8mm difference. After wearing the helmet for a little over a month, she has a 5mm difference!! We are so happy!! We aren't expecting her to be done with the helmet soon, or even expect a 1mm change at our next appointment. We don't want to get our hopes up or be disappointed, so we're taking it one appointment at a time!!

Oh my goodness - I love our Sweet Girl!!
