Yesterday I wasn't able to update the blog because I went to a Stampin' Up event with my Mom! Our demonstrator and a few of her demonstrator friends started this event last year and we were happy they decided to do it again. For $25 we were able to stamp/scrap from 9am-ish until about midnight. Granted, I was going delirious toward 10:15pm but that makes things interesting doesn't it?
Anyway, I was able to make about 24 thank you cards and got another 24 half way done! I am pretty pleased with myself because I went not knowing what exactly to do, had to take lots of breaks to either use the bathroom or walk around, and did I mention I went delirious? I'm not kidding either. About 10pm my mom did something that made me laugh for 10 minutes straight! I was crying and everything and I have to be honest, it wasn't that funny. See?! Delirious!
It was also neat because I got to see lots of different projects being completed by the other guests and got some great ideas for more cards and scrap book pages. I am not sure how many I will actually use since I have a simple style to my cards and pages. I don't like a lot of things on them because I want the focus to be the message (on the card) or the pictures (on the page). We'll see though.
It was fantastic - the perfect end to a hectic week!
Adelle is growing:
This week Adelle weighs a little over 4 pounds (which is the heft of a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood. Only 48 days to go!
