Bedding - Narrowed Options

We have narrowed down the options for the bedding and are very excited about it (well, I am anyway). You made really great suggestions and gave great reasons to choose the bedding you chose. That made it more difficult for us to be honest.

In no particular order here is the narrowed list and the reasons:

First we have the animal print bedding. We have always thought this bedding was adorable but agreed with Kelly when she said that EVERYONE is doing an animal themed room. Most of the people we know have done one and we wanted to be different until Maria said this, "My vote is for the one with the fox because eventually you can point to the animals and say, 'Your last name means bird song, and Grandpa and Grandma Volpe's last name means fox.' I feel like it's more personal because it's got both sets of animals, and I can imagine Gram going ga-ga for it." Now, she was talking about the darker set, but we like this one better so this is the animal option.

Our second option is the ABC bedding. There really wasn't an opinion that stood out like Maria's did. This got the second highest number of votes and being a teacher, how can I NOT like ABC's?

The third option is Maria's Flowers at Land of Nod. While we thought that Kelly's comment on how pink was pushed on her and she ended up hating it was a concern, Angela said that she regrets making her nursery so neutral. Nicole said, "I can't promise I won't be doing something really girly if we have a girl!" While Stephanie appealed to my planning side and said that we could use the quilt longer. If we are going to go girly, we thought this would be a good option because we can tone it down or make it SUPER girly.

Out of these three options, which would you choose? This doesn't mean that we will agree with you - this isn't a reality show plot and we reserve the right to veto, but we like opinions!

  1. Go with the girly option! Not only can you dress the room to whatever girly degree you want but there is also numbers on it so learning will still take place!

  2. I am still all for the animal one. Go foxes! She's going to have enough girly stuff, so I like how the animal one is a little more neutral.

  3. Tough call, you guys! I am like Nicole and will probably go girly when I have a girl. That being said, the purple option you picked isn't too girly which is why I like it :)

I also do really like animals. I know I said everyone's doing that, and they are, but it is darn cute.

Honestly, despite what I said, the animal one does appeal to me the most. I think Maria's fox story is a cute addition to that too :)

    Good luck!

  4. I love the animal bedding but I'm all for the girly option! I'm not sure how many kids you're having but if the next was a boy and you're done you might've wished you'd done more girly stuff and saved the animal bedding for the boy. I love that it's not too girly so like you said you can dress it up or down to make it however girly you want. Plus that bedding seems so fitting for the name Adelle!

Hmmm how many times did I say "girly"! haha oh well!

  5. I vote for the girly option. It's not too girly, and purple is a great color for a baby's room to have! Plus, you still get numbers with flowers, so it isn't just floral!
